Xbox LIVE’s killer month

More people joined Xbox LIVE this past January than in any other month since the service was born. This is likely to have been aided by the fact that 5 Xbox 360 titles (Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty: World at War, Skate 2, Lord of the Rings: Conquest, and Gears of War 2) made the top 10 in January NPD data.
Let’s not forget that Netflix has led to many new members.
Halo Wars set a record for most demo downloads. If there was ever any doubt on the vast popularity of the Halo franchise, this demo should take care of things.
Overall, the Xbox 360 is of to a good start in 2009.
